Membership organization principally for political parties who are represented in the National Assembly
The Centre for Multiparty Democracy inaugurated the Inter-party Gender Action Group (IGAG) on 28th October, 2019 at Sunbird Livingstonia Beach in Salima. The objective of the IGAG is to build the capacities of women leaders in political parties. Through this IGAG, women’s inter-party dialogue will also be strengthened. This will give our women an upper hand as they will be able to come together and tackle common issues that affect them irrespective of their party affiliations. This platform will also be used to formulate a common agenda regarding how best political parties can address the common concerns. In addition, the IGAG will provide space for women in political parties to speak with one voice on key national issues affecting both old and young women, and support political parties to be more gender responsive.
